Natural Wool Exfoliating Soap

Donkey Milk Soap wrapped in natural wool. Self-soaping exfoliating
with donkey’s milk, acts with the effect of a glove of mane but with
much more softness on the skin, spreading the donkey milk soap and
activating the subcutaneous circulation. Exfoliates and moisturizes
gently thanks to the natural wool coat. The wool diminishes with the
water and keeps the soap always fair inside. The duration of a soap
of these, is on average three times longer that of an uncoated soap.
An innovation!
Developed in partnership with the “Lhana” project, which came up with
the purpose of making use of the wool of native Portuguese sheep breeds,
paying a fair price for wool from local herds and boosting old-fashioned
crafts such as manual spinning, knitting and weaving. The wool used in
these products is selected from the shepherds and breeders of the region
when the annual shearing of the animals takes place. This wool does not
undergo any treatment in its selection and washing up, which are
done by hand.

Eselsmilch, wirkt mit der Wirkung eines Handschuhs von Mähne, aber mit
viel mehr Weichheit auf der Haut, die Verbreitung der Eselsmilch Seife
und die Aktivierung der subkutanen Durchblutung. Exfoliert und befeuchtet
sanft dank des natürlichen Wollmantels. Die Wolle verdünnt sich mit dem
Wasser und hält die Seife immer schön im Inneren. Die Haltbarkeit einer
Seife dieser Art ist im Durchschnitt dreimal länger als die einer nicht
ummantelten Seife. Eine Innovation!
Entwickelt in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Projekt "Lhana", das sich zum Ziel
gesetzt hat, die Wolle einheimischer portugiesischer Schafsrassen zu nutzen,
einen fairen Preis für die Wolle lokaler Herden zu zahlen und traditionelle
Handwerke wie Spinnen, Stricken und Weben zu fördern. Die für diese Produkte
verwendete Wolle wird von den Schäfern und Züchtern der Region bei der
jährlichen Schur der Tiere ausgewählt. Diese Wolle wird bei der Auswahl
und beim Waschen, die von Hand erfolgen, keiner Behandlung unterzogen.

Tomelo, Eco Desenvolvimento, Lda established in 2006, is since then an active participant in several projects for the development of North East region of Portugal mainly in Vimioso e Miranda do Douro. The most remarkable initiative is the production of Donkey Milk Soaps made out with milk from the only Portuguese Donkey bread, actually threatened of extinction.
Milk of Donkey contains Vitamins, Proteins and Fatty Acids that stimulate the production of Collagen in human skin. In addition, Donkey’s milk also has antioxidant properties that slow the ageing of the skin. Thus, among the benefits of using these products are the increase in firmness and elasticity of the skin.

(DE) Das Ziel der portugiesischen Marke Tomelo ist die Förderung der lokalen nachhaltigen Entwicklung durch die (Wieder-)Entdeckung von Rohstoffen oder anderen lokalen Potenzialen, die eigentlich gar nicht genutzt werden, und die Schaffung eines Mehrwerts für die Gemeinschaft und das Land.
Tomelo, Eco Desenvolvimento, Lda. wurde 2006 gegründet und ist seitdem aktiv an mehreren Projekten zur Entwicklung der nordöstlichen Region Portugals beteiligt, vor allem in Vimioso und Miranda do Douro. Die bemerkenswerteste Initiative ist die Herstellung von Eselsmilchseifen, die aus der Milch des einzigen portugiesischen Esels hergestellt werden, der eigentlich vom Aussterben bedroht ist.
Eselsmilch enthält Vitamine, Proteine und Fettsäuren, die die Produktion von Kollagen in der menschlichen Haut anregen. Außerdem hat Eselsmilch antioxidative Eigenschaften, die die Alterung der Haut verlangsamen. Zu den Vorteilen der Anwendung dieser Produkte gehört also die Erhöhung der Festigkeit und Elastizität der Haut.
