(EN) Bergs Potter is a Danish family business that has been making traditionally handmade Tuscan terracotta plant pots in Italy for over 75 years. It all started when Victor Berg inherited a ceramics shop full of flower pots in Copenhagen in 1942. Victor decided to start selling flowers in addition to the ceramic pots. The combination of pots and flowers became a real hit and the store grew quickly. 

After 75 years, Bergs Potter’s wares are still created with love in Tuscany. The clay is fired at very high temperatures, giving the pots a natural strength and a special treatment ensures that our saucers are completely waterproof, making our pots suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The high density of the clay, makes the pots frost resistant and allows air to the roots and retain moisture due to the superlative quality of the clay, thus giving plants the optimum growth conditions.

(DE) Bergs Potter ist ein dänisches Familienunternehmen, das seit über 75 Jahren traditionell handgefertigte toskanische Terrakotta-Pflanzgefäße in Italien herstellt. Alles begann, als Victor Berg 1942 in Kopenhagen ein Keramikgeschäft voller Blumentöpfe erbte. Victor beschloss, zusätzlich zu den Keramikgefäßen auch Blumen zu verkaufen. Die Kombination aus Töpfen und Blumen wurde ein echter Hit und das Geschäft wuchs schnell.

Nach 75 Jahren werden die Produkte von Bergs Potter immer noch mit Liebe in der Toskana hergestellt. Der Ton wird bei sehr hohen Temperaturen gebrannt, was den Töpfen eine natürliche Festigkeit verleiht, und eine spezielle Behandlung sorgt dafür, dass unsere Untersetzer vollkommen wasserdicht sind, so dass unsere Töpfe sowohl für den Innen- als auch für den Außenbereich geeignet sind. Die hohe Dichte des Tons macht die Töpfe frostbeständig, lässt Luft an die Wurzeln und hält die Feuchtigkeit aufgrund der hervorragenden Qualität des Tons, so dass die Pflanzen die optimalen Wachstumsbedingungen haben.
