(EN:) He used to enjoy being by myself. Instead of spending time with others, I enjoyed reading books and listening to music by himself. He had difficulty dealing with people, and he had this uneasy feeling, as he felt he was in a wrong place.
One day, he found a notebook. This notebook takes a simple form, but kind of gave him a sense of freedom. As he started customizing the notebook by adding charms and stickers, he started to love this notebook. Even more to the level where he brought it wherever he went. He wrote down anything that came up to his mind. Things that he enjoyed, things that moved him emotionally, images that came up to his mind, his future dreams, and stories that came from his soul. He even drew pictures in the notebook. The pictures ended up being somewhat distorted, but they kind of represented his personality, and he personally felt satisfied.
He felt that this notebook takes in his incompleteness as a person.
This notebook taught him that the most important thing in life is to be yourself, and to communicate with yourself sincerely.
"What do I really like the most?"
"When do I feel excited?"
"What kind of significance can I give to past events that I experienced?"
"Where am I, and where am I heading?"
Those questions ran through his mind, but in the end he realized that doing things that he love, being an expert on things he is good at is the most important aspect. He felt like he received a guide to the path he should pursue.
In the journey that he decided to immerse himself in, he met people that are proud and passionate of their jobs, and this moved him emotionally. He felt like the product he is making can move somebody’s heart.
He was able to meet people that share the same dream, and in the end, he realized I was not alone.
TRAVELER’S notebook was released with five different types refill in 2006. A portable Passport Size was released in 2009. BRASS PRODUCTS, and SPIRAL RING NOTEBOOK were then introduced as part of TRAVELER’S notebook in 2010.
In 2011, TRAVELER’S FACTORY as a basement of TRAVELER’S notebook opened in Nakameguro, Tokyo.
All these products share the theme of traveling that takes place in one’s daily life. In order to pursue and enrich this theme, they changed the brand name from “MIDORI” to “TRAVELER’S COMPANY (TRC)” in 2015. Through this change and the notebook we make, we would like to propose a journey where one can express themselves freely.

(DE:) Er genoss es, allein zu sein. Anstatt Zeit mit anderen zu verbringen, las er lieber Bücher und hörte Musik, wenn er allein war. Es fiel ihm schwer, mit Menschen umzugehen, und er hatte ein ungutes Gefühl, weil er sich am falschen Ort fühlte.
Eines Tages fand er ein Notizbuch. Dieses Notizbuch hat eine einfache Form, aber es gab ihm ein Gefühl der Freiheit. Als er begann, das Notizbuch durch das Hinzufügen von Anhängern und Aufklebern individuell zu gestalten, begann er dieses Notizbuch zu lieben. Es ging sogar so weit, dass er es überallhin mitnahm, wo er hinging. Er schrieb alles auf, was ihm in den Sinn kam. Dinge, die ihm Spaß machten, Dinge, die ihn emotional bewegten, Bilder, die ihm in den Sinn kamen, seine Zukunftsträume und Geschichten, die ihm aus der Seele kamen. Er zeichnete sogar Bilder in das Notizbuch. Die Bilder waren am Ende etwas verzerrt, aber sie repräsentierten irgendwie seine Persönlichkeit, und er fühlte sich persönlich zufrieden.
Er hatte das Gefühl, dass dieses Notizbuch seine Unvollkommenheit als Mensch aufnimmt.
Dieses Notizbuch lehrte ihn, dass das Wichtigste im Leben ist, man selbst zu sein und aufrichtig mit sich selbst zu kommunizieren.
„Was mag ich wirklich am liebsten?“
„Wann bin ich aufgeregt?“
„Welche Bedeutung kann ich vergangenen Ereignissen, die ich erlebt habe, beimessen?
„Wo stehe ich und wohin will ich?“
Diese Fragen gingen ihm durch den Kopf, aber schließlich erkannte er, dass es am wichtigsten ist, Dinge zu tun, die er liebt, und ein Experte für Dinge zu sein, in denen er gut ist. Er hatte das Gefühl, einen Leitfaden für den Weg erhalten zu haben, den er einschlagen sollte.
Auf der Reise, für die er sich entschied, lernte er Menschen kennen, die stolz und leidenschaftlich auf ihre Arbeit sind, und das hat ihn emotional berührt. Er hatte das Gefühl, dass das Produkt, das er herstellt, das Herz eines Menschen berühren kann.
Er lernte Menschen kennen, die denselben Traum haben, und erkannte schließlich, dass ich nicht allein bin.
TRAVELER'S notebook wurde 2006 mit fünf verschiedenen Arten von Nachfüllungen auf den Markt gebracht. Eine tragbare Version im Passport-Format wurde 2009 herausgebracht. BRASS PRODUCTS und SPIRAL RING NOTEBOOK wurden dann 2010 als Teil von TRAVELER'S notebook eingeführt.
2011 wurde in Nakameguro, Tokio, die TRAVELER'S FACTORY als Untergeschoss von TRAVELER'S notebook eröffnet.
Alle diese Produkte haben das Thema des Reisens im Alltag gemeinsam. Um dieses Thema weiter zu verfolgen und zu bereichern, wurde der Markenname 2015 von „MIDORI“ in „TRAVELER'S COMPANY (TRC)“ geändert. Mit dieser Änderung und dem Notebook, das wir herstellen, möchten wir eine Reise vorschlagen, bei der man sich frei ausdrücken kann.
