Suffragette City Tea Pot

To mark the 2018 centenary of women’s suffrage in the UK, a statue of Millicent Fawcett by artist Gillian Wearing was unveiled in London’s Parliament Square on April 24th 2018. Wearing has collaborated with publisher Plinth, the Mayor of London and designer Bella Freud to produce a range of merchandise inspired by Fawcett’s message, and part of the proceeds from the sale of the range will be donated to the Fawcett Society.

Anlässlich des hundertsten Jahrestages des Frauenwahlrechts 2018 in Großbritannien wurde am 24. April 2018 auf dem Londoner Parliament Square eine Statue von Millicent Fawcett der Künstlerin Gillian Wearing enthüllt. Wearing hat mit dem Verleger Plinth, dem Bürgermeister von London und der Designerin Bella Freud zusammengearbeitet, um eine Reihe von Merchandising-Artikeln zu produzieren, die von Fawcetts Botschaft inspiriert sind, und ein Teil des Erlöses aus dem Verkauf der Serie geht an die Fawcett Society.
