Psychoanalystikerin Trefft Marina Abramović

Im Sommer 2015 verbrachten die weltbekannte Performance-Künstlerin Marina Abramovic
und die Psychoanalytikerin Jeannette Fischer,
die schon seit Jahren befreundet sind, vier Tage zusammen im Haus der Künstlerin im Hudson Valley.
In freien assoziativen Gesprächen unterzogen sie Abramovic s Biografie und Kunstschaffen
- und deren wechselseitige Beziehung - einer eingehenden Betrachtung aus psychoanalytischer Perspektive.
Abramovic erhoffte sich von diesem Austausch tiefere Einsichten in ihr eigenes Selbst,
ihre Persönlichkeit und ihre Arbeit. Künstlergespräche gebe es viele, sagt sie, aber die Gelegenheit,
mittels der Psychoanalyse Leben und Werk eines Künstlers kontextuell zu verknüpfen, biete sich selten.

In the summer of 2015 the world-famous performance artist Marina Abramovic
and the psychoanalyst Jeannette Fischer,
who have been friends for years, four days together in the artist's house in the Hudson Valley.
In free associative conversations they subjected Abramovic's biography and artistic work
- and their interrelationship - an in-depth examination from a psychoanalytical perspective.
Abramovic hoped that this exchange would lead to deeper insights into her own self,
their personality and their work. There are many conversations with artists, she says, but the opportunity,
to use psychoanalysis to contextually link the life and work of an artist is rarely possible.
