Oba - ROCKY M. Soap Dish - Ink Spots

Created in the Portuguese village of Famalicao, the aim was to make the world
a better place through sustainable, aesthetically pleasing and socially conscious
products. OBA's first challenge: the often overlooked soap dish.

Soap dishes are everyday objects whose true potential is often underestimated.
OBA says there is a problem and an opportunity. Many associate soap with unhygiene
or slipping, but these problems are often down to the storage, not the soap itself.
In fact, a bar of soap has a 25% lower carbon footprint than liquid soap because it
requires no packaging and contains fewer chemicals.

With the growing trend towards eco-conscious consumption and the variety of soap
products, we are seeing the return of the soap dish. But despite countless designs
on the market, many fail due to material, design, functionality or manufacturing
method.

The result: a ceramic soap dish, carefully tested and optimised to solve all these
problems. With OBA's focus on UX design, they eliminate all the pain points and deliver

The ROCKY M. soap dish is made of ceramic, or more precisely, high-fired stoneware. It
is handmade in the Christophorus workshops in Fürstenwalde and each one is unique with
an individual character. The Christophorus workshops are a recognised workshop for people
with special needs who, for various reasons, are not or not yet able to work on the
general labour market

Seifenschalen sind Alltagsgegenstände, deren wahres Potenzial oft unterschätzt wird. OBA sag
da ein Problem und eine Chance. Viele verbinden Seife mit Unhygiene oder Rutschgefahr, doch
diese Probleme liegen oft an der Aufbewahrung, nicht an der Seife selbst. Tatsächlich hat ein
Seifenstück einen 25% geringeren CO2-Fußabdruck als Flüssigseife, da es keine Verpackung
benötigt und weniger Chemikalien enthält.

Mit dem wachsenden Trend zu umweltbewusstem Konsum und der Vielfalt der Seifenprodukte, sehen
wir die Rückkehr der Seifenschale. Aber trotz unzähliger Designs auf dem Markt, scheitern viele
an Material, Design, Funktionalität oder Herstellungsweise.

Das Ergebnis: Eine keramische Seifenschale, sorgfältig getestet und optimiert, um alle diese

Die Seifenschale ROCKY M. ist aus Keramik, genau genommen aus hoch gebranntem Steinzeug. Sie wird
in den Christophorus-Werkstätten in Fürstenwalde handgefertigt, jedes Exemplar ist ein Unikat mit
individuellem Charakter. Die Christophorus-Werkstätten sind eine anerkannte Werkstatt für Menschen
mit besonderen Bedürfnissen, die aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht oder noch nicht auf dem allgemeinen
Arbeitsmarkt tätig sein können
