Marius Fabre

1900, knapp 22 Jahre, gründete Marius Fabre seine Seifenfirma in Salon-de-Provence.
 Er begann im Gartenhaus, wo er zwei Kessel und ein paar Schimmelpilze aufstellte.
Damals war der Salon-de-Provence eine äußerst wohlhabende Stadt, dank des Handels mit Öl, Seife und Kaffee. Der Reichtum an Rohstoffen in der Provence (Olivenöl in den Alpillen, Soda und Salz in der Camargue und Öle (Kokosnuss und Palme) aus den Kolonien über den Hafen von Marseille) hatte die Entwicklung der Seifenindustrie ermöglicht. Die Ankunft der Eisenbahn im Jahr 1873 erleichterte den Handel erheblich.
"Seit über 118 Jahren und über vier Generationen versucht unsere Familie, unser immer wieder bedrohtes Know-how am Leben zu erhalten: die Herstellung echter Marseille-Seife, indem sie die Techniken der Verseifung im Kessel bewahrt. Unser Geheimnis ist der Kniff, der über Generationen weitergegeben wurde, vom Vater zum Sohn, dann vom Vater zur Tochter. Unser Hauptanliegen ist die hohe Qualität unserer Rohstoffe. Unsere Seife wird ausschließlich mit pflanzlichen Ölen, insbesondere Olivenöl, hergestellt. Es werden keine Farbstoffe oder synthetischen Substanzen zugesetzt. Diese außergewöhnliche Reinheit macht es hautfreundlich und umweltfreundlich."
Seit 1900 werden Marius Fabre-Produkte nach der gleichen Philosophie hergestellt:
- auf Basis von Pflanzenölen,
- ohne die Verwendung von tierischen Fetten,
- keine künstlichen Farbstoffe oder Parabene,
- nicht an Tieren getestet,
- biologisch abbaubar, umweltfreundlich,
- recycelbare Verpackungen.
- Seit über 118 Jahren produzieren sie Pflanzenölseife, die biologisch abbaubar ist, ohne Farbstoffe und frei von Nebenprodukten auf Erdölbasis.

Ihre Sorge um die Umwelt veranlasst sie, die Verpackung auf ein Minimum zu reduzieren, und wenn immer möglich, werden viele ihrer Seifen ohne jegliche Verpackung verkauft.
Sie werden feststellen, dass bestimmte Marius Fabre-Produkte mit Palmöl hergestellt werden. Dieses Palmöl ist ein nachhaltiges Palmöl aus Afrika. Die Palme ist in bestimmten Regionen Afrikas heimisch und die Menschen in dieser Region sind seit 100 Jahren auf die Palmölproduktion angewiesen. Marius Fabre arbeitet seit jeher mit den gleichen Leuten zusammen, die dort Palmöl produzieren.

EN: In 1900, barely 22, Marius Fabre founded his soap company in Salon-de-Provence.

 He started up in the garden shed, where he set up two cauldrons and a few moulds.

At that time, Salon-de-Provence was an extremely prosperous city, thanks to the commerce of oil, soap and coffee. The abundance of raw materials in Provence (olive oil in the Alpilles, soda and salt in the Camargue and oils (coco-nut and palm) coming in from the colonies via the port of Marseilles) had made possible the development of the soap-making industry. The arrival of the railway in 1873 greatly facilitated commerce.

"For over 118 years and through four generations, our family has been trying to keep our ever threatened know-how alive : making true Marseille soap by conserving the techniques of saponification in cauldrons. Our secret is the knack passed down through generations, from father to son, then from father to daughter. Our primary concern is the high quality of our  raw materials. Our soap is made using only vegetable oils, especially olive oil. No colorants or synthetic substances are added. This exceptional purity renders it beneficial for the skin and environmental-friendly.”

Since 1900, Marius Fabre products have all been produced according to the same philosophy :

• based on vegetable oils,
• without the use of animal fats,
• no artificial colourings or parabens,
• not tested on animals,
• biodegradable, respect the environment,
• recyclable packaging.
• For over 118 years, they’ve been producing vegetable oil soap that is biodegradable, no added colourings and free of petroleum-based by-products.
• Their concern for the environment leads them to reduce packaging to a minimum and whenever possible, many of their soaps are sold without any packaging at all.

The palm tree is native to certain regions in  Africa and the people in this region rely on the palm oil production since 100s of years. Marius Fabre is working with the same people producing Palm oil there since ages.
