Eco Marine Cream contains two types of seaweed extract; Haeckels signature Serrated wrack
extract, and a Dulse extract. This new improved formula lasts longer and goes further –
providing you with powerful moisturisation throughout the day – it’s designed to work in
perfect harmony with our skincare range.
Easily absorbed and non-greasy, Eco Marine Cream was the first product to feature Haeckels
own Palmaria serum, an ultrasound-assisted ethanolic extraction of Palmaria palmata, commonly
known as Dulse. Dulse is harvested from the Margate shore, cleaned, dried and milled, before
being ultrasonically treated, filtered, and recovered. Dulse extracts have been shown to
have strong antioxidant activities that can help protect against UVR induced oxidation.
Fucus serratus, or Toothed wrack, is extracted in a similar fashion, with extracts of this
seaweed showing powerful antioxidant properties.
Haeckels Eco Marine Cream is more versatile than ever, utilising a blend of Apricot kernel
oil, Raspberry seed oil and Pomegranate seed oil. It can be applied to wet skin for a lightweight
moisturising feel, or for deep lasting moisturisation, apply to dry skin.

Vivomer is an entirely vegan and compostable material made with a little help from friendly
microbes.
Grown by nature, our packaging performs like plastic but without the detrimental effects at
its end of life, remaining benign to the environment as it’s consumed again by the same microbes
that created it. Vivomer will degrade organically like tree branches, given its origins are also
natural. Haeckels have had this certified in all conditions.

Die leicht einziehende und nicht fettende Eco Marine Cream war das erste Produkt, das Haeckels eigenes
Palmaria-Serum enthielt, eine ultraschallunterstützte ethanolische Extraktion von Palmaria palmata, allgemein
bekannt als Dulse. Dulse wird an der Küste von Margate geerntet, gereinigt, getrocknet und gemahlen, bevor
sie mit Ultraschall behandelt, gefiltert und wiedergewonnen wird. Dulse-Extrakte haben nachweislich eine
starke antioxidative Wirkung, die zum Schutz vor UV-bedingter Oxidation beitragen kann.
Fucus serratus, auch Zahntang genannt, wird auf ähnliche Weise extrahiert, wobei Extrakte aus diesem Seetang
starke antioxidative Eigenschaften aufweisen.
Die Haeckels Eco Marine Cream ist vielseitiger denn je und besteht aus einer Mischung aus Aprikosenkernöl,
Himbeersamenöl und Granatapfelsamenöl. Sie kann auf die feuchte Haut aufgetragen werden, um ein leichtes,
feuchtigkeitsspendendes Gefühl zu erzeugen, oder auf die trockene Haut aufgetragen werden, um eine lang anhaltende
Feuchtigkeitszufuhr zu gewährleisten.

Unsere Verpackungen werden von der Natur gezüchtet und funktionieren wie Plastik, jedoch ohne die schädlichen
Auswirkungen am Ende ihrer Lebensdauer, da sie von denselben Mikroben, die sie erzeugt haben, wieder verbraucht
werden. Vivomer baut sich organisch ab, wie die Äste eines Baumes, da auch sein Ursprung natürlich ist. Haeckels
haben dies unter allen Bedingungen zertifizieren lassen.

Als eine von zwei Firmen ist es Haeckels erlaubt an der Küste Englands Seegras zu pflücken. Die Margate’s Coast ist ein 14 Meilen langes Kalkriff aus der Jura Zeit. Neben Seegras werden im Clifftop Lab von Haeckel's noch andere Pflanzen und Kräuter zu natürlichen Hautpflegeprodukten, Shampoos und Parfüms verarbeitet. Basierend auf der griechischen Thalassotherapie entstehen hier wunderbare Produkte für Körper und Geist. Ohne Tierversuche und mit ganz, ganz viel Liebe.
EN: Haeckels was founded in 2012 by volunteer beach warden and coastal enthusiast Dom Bridges.
Disillusioned by the production ethos of many larger skin care companies Dom wanted to create simple hand crafted products that showcased the surrounding coasts natural ingredients in the hope that the products themselves would then promote Margates heritage of healthy coastal living.
When Haeckels was just starting out Dom would collect seaweed and local botanicals along the Margate coast and bring them bring back to his family kitchen to experiment. Dom’s wife Jo soon said it was time to get a proper Lab and turn a passion into a business as every saucepan in the kitchen was starting to smell like a skin care product. Taking his wifes advice he acquired the Lab on Cliff Terrace in 2013 where more product formulas were developed to complete the range. The company has now grown; taking on members of staff whilst still playing an active part in the local community by organising beach cleans and taking part in marine conseravtion surveys.
