(EN) A-LIST indicates the condition when a boat is leaning or tilted to the side, symbolizing a change of direction. This "tilted" situation can also be referred as a lifestyle that is needed by the contemporary society. By the research and applications of reusable materials, A-LIST creates its own inspirations and designs without depleting natural resources.
The birth of A-LIST's afflatus can be traced back to a unforgettable journey of the founder Shutong Lin. While wandering in the streets of Amsterdam, Shutong met the artist Dirk Vander Kooij. Dirk Vander Kooij was collecting abandoned materials in the neighborhood, such as old records, rubber strips, sunshades. At the same time, he innovated production processes for furniture design, combining 3D print with blow molding and CNC techniques. The stories hidden behind those fragments objects, are told by the artist's sustainable philosophy and technology.
Deeply inspired by Dirk, Shutong extended recyclable techonology to further fields, such as sustainble designs,developments of composite materials, enhancements of production, and upcycling process. A-LIST aspires to source and build our design system from nature while persisting on the goal of zero consumption.
Over-exploitation and unconscious consumption towards rare natural materials are invading luxury, furniture, fashion markets, becoming an inundant social phenomenon. However, these prescious materials will be depleted along with the expansion of these industries, leaving nothing left for future generations.

(DE) A-LIST bezeichnet den Zustand, in dem ein Boot schräg liegt oder zur Seite gekippt ist, was eine Richtungsänderung symbolisiert. Diese "gekippte" Situation kann auch als ein Lebensstil bezeichnet werden, den die heutige Gesellschaft braucht. Durch die Erforschung und Verwendung von wiederverwendbaren Materialien schafft A-LIST seine eigenen Inspirationen und Designs, ohne die natürlichen Ressourcen zu erschöpfen.
Die Entstehung von A-LIST geht auf eine unvergessliche Reise des Gründers Shutong Lin zurück. Als er durch die Straßen von Amsterdam streifte, traf Shutong den Künstler Dirk Vander Kooij. Dirk Vander Kooij sammelte in der Nachbarschaft verlassene Materialien wie alte Schallplatten, Gummistreifen und Sonnenschirme. Gleichzeitig entwickelte er neue Produktionsverfahren für das Möbeldesign, indem er 3D-Druck mit Blasformen und CNC-Techniken kombinierte. Die Geschichten, die sich hinter diesen Fragmenten verbergen, werden durch die nachhaltige Philosophie und Technologie des Künstlers erzählt.
Inspiriert von Dirk Shutong hat er die recycelbare Technologie auf weitere Bereiche ausgedehnt, wie z. B. nachhaltiges Design, die Entwicklung von Verbundwerkstoffen, Verbesserungen in der Produktion und Upcycling-Verfahren. A-LIST strebt danach, unser Designsystem aus der Natur zu beziehen und aufzubauen, während wir das Ziel des Null-Konsums verfolgen.
Raubbau und unbewusster Konsum von seltenen Naturmaterialien überschwemmen die Luxus-, Möbel- und Modemärkte und werden zu einem allgegenwärtigen gesellschaftlichen Phänomen. Diese wertvollen Materialien werden jedoch mit der Expansion dieser Industrien erschöpft, so dass für zukünftige Generationen nichts mehr übrig bleibt.
