Picks of the month
Time to get cosy at home. Short days and cold weather mean spending more time at home. This month we selected plenty of things to make the most of our home spaces. Wonderful purely ecological clay paints in natural colour shades from the german brand nen-do.
Our new catalogue 22/23 is here. Packed with products that make great sustainable gifts to yourself or loved ones.
We travel the world with eyes, ears and senses open to find new exciting products and producers. The best part of this, beside discovering new beautiful, funny or inspiring things, is that we get to meet a lot of incredible people.
Epicerie Curieuse - Fernwehdelikatessen - "Funky" Grocery. Products that are not just super tasty but empower the producers who make them. Have the SUPPER selection delivered to your home.
Kitchener items do not deliberately follow short-lived trends but are pieces you can always wear. They are timeless basics, favourite items in the wardrobe in beautiful colour combinations and patterns.
Looking for fun but still useful stuff to put in you calendar? Look no further, we have a reputation for the go to address when it comes to advent calendars. Of course most of it plastic free.
Kitchen & Foods
Beautiful enamel dishes, funny tea eggs, rare to find and fair spices, pottery from Dublin, bean to bar chocolate and nuts where farmers get the saying - this is just a tiny fraction of what you can find in our kitchen goods selection.

A visit to STRUNK
It is a sunny autumn afternoon and we visit Magali & Maruska from Strunk. We have been stocking Strunk's preserved vegetables for several years and are big fans of their restaurant, which they run for a few months each winter
A studio visit at Laurin Schaub
It is not easy to find Laurin Schaub's studio. But then, tucked away right next to the railway tracks in Bern's Lorraine district, we find him in his studio, which is part of a studio community.
Meet Gorilla Gardening
It is raining cats and dogs as we set off to visit Raffael and Severin from Gorilla Gardening. We meet them in an old butcher's shop at the foot of Gurten, Bern's local mountain.
We send out 4 to 6 Newsletters a year talking about what we care about, what’s excites us and keep you informed on all the things happening at Kitchener. Missed one? No problem, here you can catch up
A visit to the laflor chocolate manufactory
We meet Laura from the chocolate manufacturer laflor at her production facility in the provisional premises on Uetlibergstrasse in Binz in Zurich. We are impressed by the lively and creative atmosphere of dasProvisorium..
Meet Franziska Luethy
We find Franziska Luethy in the former Brieger Areal in the middle of Zurich. Franziska's studio is part of a larger studio community. She shares her space with two graphic artists. There is a knitting machine on the wall, a work table with a computer by the window, and an ironing board with an iron on it next to it.
