(EN) Swiss backpack brand QWSTION is known for combining design and functionality with sustainability. Since 2008 the design studio has been developing versatile carry solutions for everyday use – with an understated look and a low environmental footprint.
QWSTION believe a good answer is the result of the right question, and to find those answers they question the norm of how things are designed and made. QWSTION thrive on finding original solutions that are sustainable, to create those essentials that will be useful everyday. The Swiss modernist design heritage has influenced their collection, making continuous development and improvement the focus. QWSTION Bags and products are developed in Zürich, in our own prototyping workshop. This allows to test new ideas and unique constructions in a very early stage of the product development, resulting in more refined products. Manufacturing is conducted with highest ethical and environmental standards both in Asia and EU.
QWSTION bags are designed and developed in Zurich, Switzerland. Manufacturing takes place in Europe and China, while their most important partner is in the city of Huizhou, around 120 kilometers from Hong Kong. Since 2010 QWSTION been working with the small factory owned and run by Mrs. Wan and Mr. Lai. They have more than 30 years of experience in making bags and over time they have built a close partnership which allows them to accomplish the high quality standards they set for ourselves. The factory is audited by BSCI (Business and Social Compliance Initiative), an EU initiative with the goal to implement European standards in Non-EU countries. Part of the unique approach to design and production is that QWSTION develop and source almost all materials directly. The regular visits to suppliers enable them to know who makes the product and achieve exceptional quality.
(DE) Die Schweizer Rucksackmarke QWSTION ist bekannt dafür, Design und Funktionalität mit Nachhaltigkeit zu verbinden. Seit 2008 entwickelt das Designstudio vielseitige Tragelösungen für den täglichen Gebrauch - mit einem dezenten Look und einem geringen ökologischen Fußabdruck.
QWSTION glaubt, dass eine gute Antwort das Ergebnis der richtigen Frage ist, und um diese Antworten zu finden, hinterfragt es die Norm, wie Dinge entworfen und hergestellt werden. QWSTION lebt davon, originelle Lösungen zu finden, die nachhaltig sind, um das Wesentliche zu schaffen, das im Alltag nützlich sein wird. Das Designerbe der Schweizer Moderne hat ihre Sammlung beeinflusst und die kontinuierliche Entwicklung und Verbesserung in den Mittelpunkt gestellt. QWSTION Taschen und Produkte werden in Zürich entwickelt, in unserer eigenen Prototypenwerkstatt. Dies ermöglicht es, neue Ideen und einzigartige Konstruktionen in einem sehr frühen Stadium der Produktentwicklung zu testen, was zu verfeinerten Produkten führt. Die Herstellung erfolgt unter Einhaltung höchster ethischer und ökologischer Standards sowohl in Asien als auch in der EU.
