PAINTED PLUMAGE SET BY CIRCLE OF JAN VAN KESSEL

Wings down, these marvelous birds are bound to quill your friends with envy! Just add water to bring the Circle of Jan van Kessel's artwork to life.

Working with the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Painted Plumage Set is our first set produced as part of a licensing partnership with an art institution. These stunning birds have been extracted from the intricately painted Study of Birds and Monkey (1660/1670) by the Circle of Jan van Kessel. Rendered in oil on copper, the rich autumnal colors and precise brushstrokes of this Old Master's artwork translate beautifully onto the skin. Learn more about our partnership in our interview with Gregory Jecmen, an Associate Curator of Old Master Prints and Drawings at the National Gallery of Art here.

The Painted Plumage Set contains two each of Birds in Flight (Detail), Bird of Paradise (Detail), Heron (Detail), Painted Peacock (Detail), a Tattly Sponge, and a card insert illustrating the paintings showcasing the natural environments in which the birds were depicted.

Tattly:

- 2-4 Tage haltend
- Made in USA

EN: The founder of Tattly, Tina Roth Eisenberg, was tired of applying badly designed children's tattoos to her daughter's arms. So the Swiss-born designer, who now lives in New York, took matters into her own hands and asked a number of well-known designers and illustrators to design a series of tattoos. And not only for children. Have fun applying them!
